That’s why at Plant Parts we are pleased to once again pledge our support to The Lighthouse Charity, helping provide vital emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families across the UK and Ireland.
The need for this support continues to grow. The Lighthouse Charity’s latest Impact Report shows that during 2025 it supported 6,712 families, responded to 94 critical incidents and funded 8,714 counselling sessions – a 50% increase in counselling sessions compared with the previous year.
The Lighthouse Charity: A significant support for the construction industry
Behind these figures are people facing very real challenges, from financial pressure and mental health difficulties to bereavement, illness, relationship breakdown and unemployment.
The Lighthouse Charity provides free and confidential support through its 24/7 helpline, counselling, financial assistance, wellbeing training and specialist support following serious incidents.
And the impact goes well beyond the numbers. In 2025, the charity delivered more than £6.38 million in charitable and leveraged support, while its #MakeItVisible initiative reached more than 32,000 construction workers across 677 sites.
The charity estimates that every £1 of charitable spend generates £16.96 in social value – a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when the industry comes together to support its people.
